  1. Actually there are tofu humpers in Westchester. Mostly in the river towns too. But like I have said, they’re kind of my people, flawed as they are.

The towns on the sound (Rye, Harrison, etc) are full of cocksucker investment bankers and their riding boot wearing skinny white wives.

The towns in the middle are a mix. There is Scarsdale (see previous paragraph), Bronxville, and way up north Chappaqua, but there are also some lower end towns with more of a working class feel (Port Chester, White Plains).

The river towns are more relaxed and lefty. Hastings on Hudson is all mobsters and ex-hippie artists. Dobbs Ferry is sort of mixed, both economically and racially, but keeps the lefty vibe. Irvington is a little more uniform and snooty than the other river towns but still keeps the semi-relaxed vibe (as compared to places like Rye; obviously no one up there is actually easy going on any normal person scale).

  2. You know what the difference is between westchester and bk? I won’t step in a pile of human vomit on the way to work like I did yesterday. I can pretty much just stop there.

That and the fact that my level of anti-humanist rage can be be expressed as the inverse square of my distance from the front door of the Park Slope Coop.
