Same reason I “celebrate” Christmas. Otherwise my balls would be in peril. My moving the date every year doesn’t seem to bother the wife and it lets me avoid about 90% of the bullshit about V day that annoys me. Like jacked up prices and impossible to get restaurant reservations and everyone expecting everything to be all romantic, which is just a bunch of bullcrap.
why bother spending good $$$ to eat out on night where everything is packed and staff/kitchen is rushed and a**holes out to impress their dates.

Dont buy flowers for your girl, wife,… on Valentines. better buy is something not perishable – ie jewelry. it costs more but it’s a better bang for the buck
