“Actually I’ve had a few apartments offered to me in the Bay Ridge area, but I don’t want to pay $750 for a studio. I would get an apartment in Woodmere(where I live now) but there are only houses here. My parents don’t rent , they own the house. So they’re not rich. I’ve lived here all my life. Technically I do have enough money to pay for it because I also receive welfare. But my education isn’t free. Financial aid only pays so much, and I need to buy books for school/other supplies for my major. What makes you think I’m irresponsible??? I’m a full time college student. The reason I’m not working is because school doesn’t cause me the anxiety working at “McDonalds” would.
I wonder why groundhog day has been elevated to such a status. There are many other ‘folk’ predictors of a similar kind at this time of year. Groundhogs must have good marketing.
“Living on disability and trying to get my own apartment?

How do I get my own apartment? The apartments I’ve looked at are out of my price range. I currently live on disability and have been for some years now. I can not work at the moment. I do not have Section 8 as I am only 19 and I’m still on the waiting list. I applied for it late. Is there any way to get my own apartment???
PLEASE READ: NO I CAN NOT LIVE WITH ROOM MATES. I HAVE EXTREME SOCIAL ANXIETY. PLEASE DO NOT TELL ME TO “GET A ROOMMATE” BECAUSE I WILL ~NOT~ LISTEN.
Would it be better for me to move to another state? I have a voucher for section for a county in a different state on the West coast. I’m still waiting to hear from NYC.
Arkady, thanks for your help last night with the Verizon-Outlook 10 issue. I’ll download that program and see if it works. Ugh.

Maybe because it’s an excuse for a HUGE party in Punxsatawney. I hear it’s a blast (nobody would go with me when I lived a few hours away).
I think I’d have EXTREME SOCIAL ANXIETY as well if I had to work at McDonalds.
If he’s that bad he should stay home and get treatment through his parents although they are likely the cause of all of his anxieties.
Yes, Xing bought me a beautiful Chinese vase and filled it with pussy (nh) willows and gladiolas which are starting to open.
it gets better…

Would you have to “work” to live in the NYCHA??”

Chinese New Year’s Day is tomorrow. Today, clean the house, buy budding flowers, greet family members.
