“Actually I’ve had a few apartments offered to me in the Bay Ridge area, but I don’t want to pay $750 for a studio. I would get an apartment in Woodmere(where I live now) but there are only houses here. My parents don’t rent , they own the house. So they’re not rich. I’ve lived here all my life. Technically I do have enough money to pay for it because I also receive welfare. But my education isn’t free. Financial aid only pays so much, and I need to buy books for school/other supplies for my major. What makes you think I’m irresponsible??? I’m a full time college student. How do I get my own apartment? The apartments I’ve looked at are out of my price range. I currently live on disability and have been for some years now. I can not work at the moment. I do not have Section 8 as I am only 19 and I’m still on the waiting list. I applied for it late. Is there any way to get my own apartment???

Would it be better for me to move to another state? I have a voucher for section for a county in a different state on the West coast. I’m still waiting to hear from NYC.
