Going back to movies….
Biff,I just realized that your list of notable NYC movies didn’t include another all-time great: “On the Waterfront”, another of my all-time favorites. Although this movie was shot in Hoboken, it was intended to portray Red Hook, where I was born. Indeed, I like this movie on its own merits, and because it perfectly captures the world into which I was born, both the good and the ugly. Although it has become something of a schtick now, Marlon Brando’s famous “I cudda been a contenda” speech perfectly captures the sentiments of many folks in my father’s generation.
I’m a big fan of Jesus though!!!!!! 🙂
ray of light is a good album. im definitely not a fan of madonna tho i think she’s mad annoying and a big phoney who rips off trends and then 3 to 5 years later tries to claim them for her own.
