Oh dear, I see where this one is going…
New Zealand, not Oz. Not talking publicly traded. He is playing an entire currency on the strength of a rare earth find. NZ is a small economy so impact of something like this on the currency can be meaningful. He has an 800 acre farm on the north island. I’ve been to it. It’s one of the most beautiful pieces of land I’ve ever seen.

lech…there are a number of publicly traded rare earth mining companies in Australia…..give us a hint.
The guy I had breakfast with this morning is pretty tied in to the intelligence community and foreign policy stuff generally. He spent a lot of time talking about rare earth minerals and New Zealand. Apparently there is a big recent find there. He thinks it’s going to be huge and is bullish on the kiwi dollar. The only other comparable supplies are in China and Afghanistan.
