As Rob suggests, maybe you can work out a system where your neighbors will respect a “marker” that you place to hold the spot, knowing the situation with your legs, etc. If I remember correctly, your studio is in the Navy Yard, so parking there shouldn’t be a problem.
nomi, put a trash can in your parking spot to hold it. people do that in some neighborhoods and it works out well.
but more very residential type neighborhoods i guess.
Hi, benson. I am ok. But can’t get to my studio cause I’m too afraid to move my car. And have to drive cause of my feet…..
So, feeling useless at home. Well, there are many unpleasant tasks I should be doing. But I’m not. And if I were at the studio I wouldn’t feel like I was useless AND avoiding icky tasks.
(Um that scam guy is not just scamming, tho that is bad enough. One can get hurt crashing into another car. Duh. But I mean even a low impact collision. And now that I think about it, I don’t know if the public humiliation would affect him since he lacks a conscious. He may still have vanity, however….. but perhaps some kind of physical torture would be better. Can you tell how much I hate people who will do those kinds of things?)
I used to know a co-worker in Jersey who had a scam down to a science. He would buy used cars that had a good body, but the drive train was crap – thus cheap. He would park it at a certain corner that was perfectly positioned for a rear-end accident. It was just after a rail overpass and a turn. After a passing car would come out of the turn/overpass, they would get hit directly with sunlight at a certain time of day, be momentarily blinded, and plow into the back of the guy’s car.
The guy would park his car at the corner at that time of day, go to a nearby diner for a cup of corner, and wait for the next poor schmuck.
Also Nomi: we conservatives could use some reinforcement in the OT. Care to help out? 😉
Rob, have you seen this? Very worth it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Iu2cDdQGS4&feature=player_embedded

Have you had an exhibition yet?

Nomi!
How are you? I’m still at work.
Egads, benson- if it weren’t so sleazy, you have to admire the brilliance of it. What attention to detail! :-O
People like that should be publicly humiliated for long periods of time.
Ok, it’s come to this. I’m in the OT. Desperation has taken over.
Can someone who dared to move their car today tell me what happened? Did they ever park again or did they have to abandon their vehicle?

Disgraceful, but that is how these guys think.
