You are up there.
Put the hock in a pot of water and bring it to a boil. Dump the water. Add more water to the hock along with your beans, seasoning, and whatever else you want in it and bring to a boil again. Reduce the heat and then simmer until beans are soft.
You don’t have to boil the hock, but I do because of all the salt.

ENY…have you been to each of those countries? Which one has the better coffee???
Alaska has one mid-sized city that has a smaller metro area population than Staten Island.
There are 2 cities in the 30,000 people range, and the rest are well under 10,000.
The entire state has less than 1/3 the population of Brooklyn.
My take on Palin is that she is of average intelligence, but most of her success has come from hard work and good luck.
I might have sex with her depending on how much I had to drink, but I don’t see myself ever voting for her.

I love Fran Drescher.
Me too. She reminds me so much of my cousin’s wife. Who I LOVE. My family is such a mixture. This lady is first generation Italian and the warmest, funniest person in the world and she tawwks EXACTLY like Fran Drescher.
Plus the Nanny is the BEST.
