But, Nomi, as I recall, you had my back in a Carroll Gardens thread last year, when Petebklyn was being unusually mean, even for Pete, and he and I were fighting over the CG boundaries and the nicer parts of CG. Anyway, I didn’t like Pete much, and I didn’t think he liked me. Well, then I met Pete at am impromptu gathering at Ratifico, and we became good friends. That’s the thing about the OT — you get to know people and tend to make great friends, even those of us who fight with each other all day. My longwinded way of saying you really should stick around and get to know us!
“Only at the beginning of your tenure in the OT. Once we know you’re here to stay, we’re no longer on our best behaviour. Occasionally, someone doesn’t read the memo though.”
Ha, that’s why I can only appear briefly about once a year….
I agree with that Nomi- but when you believe in your work, eventually it gets recognized. I figure I do it for myself anyway.Let us know how you do- I bet great 🙂

“Welcome Nomi. Hope the Art show goes well for you. I finally started doing juried shows again- after being out of it for over 10 years. Nervewracking, is what it is.” (bxgrl)
Thanks so much. Yeah, those juried shows …. oh, in my nine year, uh, vacation, I did enter one juried show and was rejected. It made me mad. Well, it was an alumni show at the art school I went to, so I knew my competition, so to speak. Anyway, we have to find our own “art world.” That’s what I say, at least. And believe. I do believe there are all different kinds of art worlds out there.
