  1. Sadly, it’s rare that the fraudulent claimant gets any penalties. There are tons of law firms out there that do this type of work – accidents that clearly were not severe enough to cause injury. They’ve got docs they send all their clients to, rehab places they all go to, etc. It’s all a racket. All that happens is that the claimant gets a few (well, more than a few, usually 3 mos worth or so) of free p.t., the sheisty doc may perform arthroscopic surgery (which they try to make sound more important than it is) and then the case dies. Ins. Cos have stopped paying nuisance money to make cases go away cause that shit adds up due to these slimeball law firms.
