“I disagree. Perhpas the local roads are better, but the highways in Nassau County are a disgrace, especially considering how great they used to be. One of the (generally) unsung accomplishments of Bloomberg is the huge amount of money that has been spent on upgrading NYC’s roads.”
WHAT?!? as soon as you cross the queens border (west bound) – the roads turn to shit. you’re telling me the Belt is better than the Southern State? Get the fuck outta here.”
DH – am glad you said this – AS soon as I enter Queens(Douglaston) on the GCP which turns into the Northern State – the road bed is clear without any bumps/dips/holes etc
Benson – not sure what roads you are driving on – but the highways are much better paved, the LIE too!
I strongly associate the stripper smell with certain songs that for some reason always play at strip clubs. Kind of ghettoish and sexually suggestive stuff with a beat they can dance to that is just the right length for a $20 dance.
Sorry, I diagree. The Belt is one of the few roads in NYC that have not yet been renovated. On the other hand, the Whitestone, the Van Wyck, the Grand Central, the Deegan and much of the BQE all have been overhauled in the past 10 years.
Don’t Stop Believin’
A stripper in a smoky room
A smell of wine and cheap perfume
For a smile (and a $20) you can share the night
It goes on and on and on and on
Benson, what DID you talk about?

I hate being on the Belt. People drive like lunatics on it for some reason.

“sorry,
sounds like an unforgettable individual.”
Thanks, legion. Yes, indeed. I’ll never ever forget him.

wasn’t turning it into a political discussion- I simply asked.
