  1. “ENY, you’re in no position to lecture me on that. easy to stay “true” when your franchise is not looking looney tunes last couple of years (it’s the animal house environment more than the losing record), makes playoff every freaking yr, and sprinkled in 4-5 trophies recently.”

Yes, I am. I rooted for the Yanks throughout the 1980s and 1990s, when they not only won ZIP, but were a laughingstock while the Keith Hernandez-Darryl Strawberry Mets were the toast of the town. The Yanks had two men thrown out at home on one play in a game during that era (Dale Berra-Bobby Meacham-Carlton Fisk play), and had a pitcher LOSE a no-hitter(Andy Hawkins, look it up)!

Everything was upside down. Did I switch? NO. Never even thought of it. I don’t hate the Mets, but I would NEVER think of rooting for them in the place of the Yankees. You OTOH definitely play loosey goosey. You’re like an unfaithful wife. Too ready to jump ship.

I’m actually a waitress at a strip joint living in Astoria, I just thought it would be fun to pretend to be a WASP living in Cobble Hill.
