“How was it there? I haven’t been to that place in years but always had a soft spot for it.”
It wasn’t bad, DH. I used to go there a lot when I worked on Lafayette St. years ago. They had a corn chowder with something peppery in it, but not anymore : (. Service was good. Latkes were a tad overcooked but good. And Francesco Clemente was sitting next to us!
Gem, Access-a-Ride is used by the handicapped and elderly to get around. My elderly ex-landlords use it all the time to get to their senior center, and doctor appts. There is a small fee, I think, perhaps income dependent?
DIBS: I am not a witch. I just play one on the OT! : P
Please don’t say anymore, M4L. You’re making my head hurt.

“Yes, thank you. I tried very hard, yelling instructions to both Phil Hughs AND Joe Girardi from the stands.”
I’m sure they appreciated that. Grandstand jockeying is one of my favorite activities. Included in the price of the ticket is the right to tell the teams what you think of them – loudly – from the stands.
ENY, very easy to understand. just cause we fans of 1 team doesn’t mean we have to dislike or hate the other local team. let’s say g-men game 1pm slot and jets 4pm. after I cheer the g-men, no reason I dont watch & cheer the jets game (ie what what, watch golf or some lame show on during 4pm). when I see Yanks win, I don’t hate them for it – unless they played my Mets. Hating the other local team is an expired concept
ENY, as long as you back off questioning my Mets Fandom, we have a truce.

Rob, you know what SPORTS is? if you somehow do, what teams do you root for and which ones you hate?
