Gem, arkady- sparrows are my favorite bird. I love them- they were my mother’s favorite bird, and somehow they always remind me of her. I found some beautiful old porcelain plates with sparrows on them and snapped them up.
I think that is a very nice place. I also think that it is poorly furnished (and painted) considering the space so the pictures don’t “show” well, but space is nice, the price is good, the maintenance good as well and the location is really excellent. Very convenient. I guess the key consideration would be pets.
MM- GET OUT!!! I saw it first and have asked ehubby to buy it for me. Because he loves me. 🙂 (Besides, CGar- I need an appropriate dining room for the antique set you bought me last year. This place is perfect!

LOL dave!
MM, had you followed through with our one-night stand, you’d see that I actually have a copious amount of extra “stuff”, mostly inherited in the past few years unfortunately, but I’m currently de-acquisitioning and definitely enjoying living with less “stuff” and lots of clear surfaces.
That said, I really like the apartment, and the location (1 block off the Promenade, 2 blocks to every train), and the price and maintenace. But I’m not holding out for the dog — it they change the rule, great, but if not I’ll keep looking. What’s rare is finding an apartment like this with outdoor space, which I’m almost ready to give up on.
I still don’t know why you sell a Metrocard instead of using it. I’ll buy it for $0.75 on the dollar.
Rob, I don’t get it either. If someone has enough money to BUY your metrocard, they are perfectly capable of buying their own.
Nothing like a good cat fight between bxgrl and MM. If only they’d mud wrestle. Or jello and whipped cream wrestle.
🙂

Why does someone sell their metrocard on craigslist??? Why not just use it to ride the subway to work. I don’t get it.
