Funny, I’d say Wall St is a lot less casino like than when I started in the US in 1999. Think more people focus on fundamentals now than they did in the tech boom.
If we’re playing poker we should just do it in my backyard. No house rake.

When Mrs. D and I were kids, we took the ferry from Bar Harbor to Nova Scotia. They had a casino, the first time I ever saw one. We got a roll of quarters and lost it all. I practically felt sick to my stomach.
I never visit casino and have never bought a lotto ticket. In spite of Wall Street’s increasingly casino-like atmosphere, I’ll take 50-50 odds any day.

I’m prepared. Much worse to sit on the sidelines and not act on your convictions than to deal with contrary opinions or lose money.
Bloomberg is making statements today that would indicate he’ll go after changes to the NYC employees pensions!!!!

I don’t gamble. Why would I? The house always wins, over the long run.
I speculate when I’m pretty sure I’m going to win. That’s different from gambling.
