  1. “Soho is not the real world, Cobble.”

    Too true!

Right before we ran into the dentons—my non-‘stoner friend and I had brunch at Noho Star, and a few minutes after we sat down I noticed we were sitting next to the painter Francesco Clemente!

  2. Ergodic process breakdown, benson. Entropy allows for the formation of planets – matter coalescing out of debris. And your statement’s not strictly true anyway – life itself is chaos.

  3. Pete…it was in Silicon valley, at a tech company, in the real world.

It was not a meeting in a union dominated organization that would take committees and many people being involved.

No one was bucking for overtime!!!!

By the way, if one wants to stay in the realm of science:

One of the main issues with the theory of evolution is that is in direct conflict with another long-established scientific law, specifically, one of the fundmanental laws of thermodynamics: entropy.

Benson, the OT is entrophy in action. WEREN’T you going to a meeting?????

  5. denton,

That it is not man-made for the most part.

I’m saying that the heating and cooling cycles of the planet are not under any obligation to Al Gore.

While there has been some heating, it seems to be in line with a cyclical pattern which predates humans and not entirely due to CO2 which is a small portion of the gases that cause the greenhouse effect.

  6. benson life is by definition anti-entropic. It’s one of the key differences between life and non-life. Anyways make sure you’re considering broader systemic entropy not just zeroing in on a single anti-entropic process and concluding that there is something inconsistent with entropy.
