  1. Arkady;

    If you are claiming that the formation of life on Earth is an ergodic process, you are denying evolution. One of the essential characteristics of the evolutionary process is that ii is not stochastic in nature.

    PS: I get a chuckle that you took the opportunity of a scientific discussion (the seeming incongruity of two scientific theorems) to make a knock at the Church. It reinforces my point that some folks have (in their minds) morphed science from a methodolgy to a religion.

    Yes, please ask me the highly intelligent question: do I “believe” in man-made global warming and do I “believe” in evolution.

    “There are two kinds of people on the OT, CGar. Those who openly agree with me and those who pretend not to.”

    Don’t forget the other 2 kinds of people here— those who openly dislike you, and those who pretend to like you. : P”

    Oh sure, that’s all correct too. Sounds like we are in agreement that I’m universally disliked but also always right!

  3. A character in Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps has the theme from The Good, Bad, and the Ugly as his ringtone.

    All three characters say a version of the two kinds of people philosophy, but Clint’s is the best:

    “You see in this world there’s two kinds of people, my friend. Those with loaded guns, and those who dig. You dig.”
