Midtown security is incredible. Walked outside for a minute. 41st St between 2nd and third has TENTS (also further east) outside of building entrances. I was not allowed to walk on the north side of the street. The street is filled with cops and plain clothes security (big guys in suits with the clear swiggling plastic cords from ear pieces, poliCE? FBI? ??). This is 41st between 2nd and 3rd. I can imagine as you get closer to the UN.
