And what is going to drive this mythical rebound?
I can probably tutor Rob’s dog for the SAT’s.
I know someone with two teenage boys. He is obsessed with them getting a perfect score. And I mean obsessed. They have taken every course, they have every book, flash cards; he tutors them daily, including weekends. These kids live and breathe the SAT’s and if they don’t, it’s hell for them. The oldest son’s relationship with his dad is ruined because of the constant incessant hammering the father gives him over this, it’s really berating. I was witness to it a couple of weekends ago and it was really dehumanizing.
They’re bright kids and are only a couple of 100 points shy of the perfect score, but yet it’s not good enough. They have to go to an Ivy League School and they have to study medicine!!
Parents, please don’t be so tough on your kids, they will do the best they can. Be sensitive to their needs, wants, desires in life. YOU can learn a lot from your children.
it’s supposed to be a table, but the formatting is f’d up — for example in NY, prices are 83% higher than they were in Jan 00, but they’re off 15% from peak, which happened in june 06, they off 9% from a year ago, and a year ago they were off 5% from the year before. So far they’re holding out a lot better than places like San Francisco.
This is significant today….
Elliott Wave International Inc.’s Robert Prechter, who advised shorting U.S. stocks three months before the bear market began, said investors should now end those bets following the recent market sell off.
Prechter, chief executive of the market forecasting firm, warned in this month’s ‘Elliott Wave Theorist’ that a rebound in stocks could be “sharp and scary†for anyone who is so-called short.

oh you people have a case of the nasties today. hahaha. i am great at math and science! so i think i can tutor her quite fine. vocabulary and reading comprehension are gonna be a stuggle tho hahah

Rob, with all due respect, that sounds about as sensible as having Mel Gibson and Michael Richards teach a cultural sensitivity training course.

And yet there will be brownstones that sell in Brooklyn despite the case Schiller numbers.
I have no comment of rob tutoring his sister.
