That book is extremely funny (a little sad too) — Ignatius, the main character, pretty much believes that the modern world is an outrage, his life is a rant against modern life — he takes comfort in the philosophy and mores of the middle ages. It’s based in New Orleans.
One of my favorite writers, Walker Percy, became the book’s champion and helped to get it published posthumously. It won a Pulitzer Prize.

“normally i just go to the TD bank that has the coin counter machines near my building.”
We have a jar we throw change in, and BH takes it to the TD near his office. Sometimes it’s over $100!
DIBS,
TD Bank is right there for Rob – only issue is the damn machine is often NOT working
lechacal, it’s never a problem to make fun of your own people. After all, we have a lot to be made fun of (dancing, for example).
