  1. Beethoven lost his hearing before he wrote his 9th Symphony, truly one of the greatest pieces of music ever. He could hear it in his head, and feel the vibrations of the music. I believe he conducted the premiere of the symphony, as well, and had to be turned to the audience to see the tumultuous roar of applause.

  2. “c-gar, that was just before we stormed the gowanus houses with lech.”

Yes, yes, OK, DeLeep, I got it now. I recall the impromptu vs. the official gatherings. We went across Atlantic to Floyd, and jackal emailed me to wait for him and then instantly appeared in the bar.

ET denied her identity to me, too, the first time we met at Ellis. Standing among Cobble, Arkady, Snappy and Dave the first time I met all of you, she says to me, “I’m just a lurker.” 10 minutes later the Pasty Brit gave up her real identity to me, which she and I have both lived to regret every minute of every day since then, right ETramp??? 😉 In fact, nowadays, I refuse to even acknowledge ET if I happen to pass her walking the streets.

  3. “I like a lot of the things that lechacal writes. As an actual person though, not so much.”

I like lechacal as an actual person. As for a lot of things he writes, not so much.

  4. The deaf soprano (sounds like the title of an Ionesco play) did sing when she was younger & before she went deaf. I think it’s still surprising that she can have perfect pitch w/ no audio feedback.

  5. haaaaa – What’s Up everyone
Rob your take on Grocery Lines are SO True

This is what I really hate though:
I find a lot of white people (men and women of all ages) who don’t BAG
Sorry I just think it’s RUDE to everyone involved – the cashier AND the line of peeps waiting as you allow some 60 year old check out lady to bag your groceries

    UGH!

IS Cobble here? I actually got a “freelance” job on Elance – The guy is paying me $100 for copyind and pasting like 80 articles
    not BAD
