My wife INSISTS that we have a landline because you can dial 911 and they know right away where you are, and it’s easy to teach kids how to dial 911 if the shit hits the fan. I complain b/c I hate paying the extra monthly cost but I secretly love having a landline because it’s so much better than a cell when you’re stuck on calls for 10 hours in a row on the weekend.
I hate to burst the public employee hate bubble but I happen to know quite a few and they are some of the hardest working and most dedicated people I know.

Who does one need to call during a blackout???
well me for one. luckily i had my dog at the time or i would have never found my way in and out of my apartment at the time (it was on an airshaft and duh the whole city was blacked out) and the bodegas wouldnt sell candles to white people lol
What would a public employee do to deserve a bonus??? —maybe help track and prosecute another crook in finance.

the Psychic Friends Network as well. you can’t charge their services to a pre-paid cell phone :-/

So – did you get all those calls too, Cobble? are you going to vote?

“Who does one need to call during a blackout?”
Family in a distant place, for one. A neighbor/family if you need help or to check on a neighbor/family, for two. Emergency services, for three.
Don’t you just hate her!!!!!!!!
