“Oh, believe me, it’s still true. If I tell someone from Brooklyn that I live in Park Slope, they act like I live on the Upper East Side. But if I tell someone from the Upper East Side that I live in Park Slope, they act like I’m some crazy white chick living in the ghetto!”
Haha – Very true. It’s so funny. It’s pretty easy to tell how long a transplant manhattanite has been in the city based on their knowledge of brooklyn. most obnoxious manhattancentric people i know are still aware of neighborhoods in brooklyn and the differences between them. the straight out of ohio state UES sorority chicks are the ones that typically think they will get shot, raped or both if they cross the east river (meanwhile a rental in most of our neighborhoods would cost more than their walk up on york ave)
m4l, when I lived in Hong Kong a British friend and his Chinese bf came over one night in their Rolls Royce. The Chinese was driving but our gatehouse was on the left so as he rolled down the window, our Chinese guard told the British guy to have his “driver” park the car over to the side. The Rolls Royce was actually owned by the Chinese bf, not the Brit.
Yes tattoo removal should be covered by insurance. Please also increase my premium further for other dumbass bad decisions like covering I-didn’t-study-at-school-now-I-regret-it hand outs, refunds for supermarket checkout impulse purchases, and why not pay off the prinicipal for those with liar loans too.

This employment topic is right up my alley because I am still working on ways to get employment that will allow me to post on the OT everyday. I’m taking notes and yesterday had excellent suggestions from cobble :P, and kens. No, they are really quite good. I’ll string together a bunch of words that make no sense and people will say, “I don’t know what that means. This person must be really smart.” Cobble, review what you wrote me yesterday and use that. It is good.
Today I read about connections. I have considered day trader, and banking (thanks to ml4). I’m not qualified for either. I thought of arms dealing (ha), but I have no connections, nor qualifications. Competition is fierce.

Uh,oh, topic has switched to tatoo removal and Park Sloper’s interludes. Who wants to write about unemployment (or employment) after that?
btw, I am discovering that P. Sloper knows everything, even how to write Quran in Arabic.
“delicious whole grain bread”
oxymoron
And I think the guard was also confused the first time I had a Chinese WOMAN visit my apartment!!!!
