“A new Weber Tailgating Study”
Does the fact that this “study” was sponsored by a barbecue grill company light any bulbs in your tiny little head? No?
It’s called MARKETING. Relatively few of the people who attend football games give a crap about “gourmet tailgating!” It’s a made-up phenomenon that will (Weber hopes) catch on.
And by re-posting this information, you’ve actually ASSISTED the Weber folks in promoting this questionable “trend.” Marketing guys make their livings off suckers like you.
It’ll be interesting to watch the response around the world if they do burn the Korans. It’ll show where the real pockets of stupidity and neanderthal thinking will be. If Muslims riot in some places you can bet a few hundred of them will die in a ridiculous stampede or something.
Burning the Korans, like burning the American flag, is protected by free speech.
Unfortunately the backlash to American troops is probably real. We should up our fire power over there. We have the weapons, use them.

But today, an even greater trend enemy is threatening tailgaters: gourmet grillers.
A new Weber Tailgating Study reveals that nearly fifty percent of tailgaters are no longer satisfied with the standard tailgating fare, such as burgers, hot dogs, chicken. One in five now consider themselves gourmet grillers, with the nerve to cook fish, seafood and vegetables! While basic tailgaters spend an average of $106 per tailgate, gourmet grillers spend $165 per tailgate.
You’ll have a chance to have your own basic or gourmet tailgating party at the new Meadowlands this Sunday, when the Giants season kicks off vs. the Panthers, or Monday night, when the Jets host the Ravens. Other differences between gourmet and basic grillers: gourmet grillers favor more specialized grilling accessories such as skewers, wood chips and meat thermometers; they feed an average of 20 people, compared with the basic griller’s gathering of about 14; and there is no gourmet griller named Rex Ryan.”
