A good friend of mine is a Chinese woman who escaped during the Cultural Revolution — she swam to Hong Kong from Canton. She had been back to China many times since but never to her village where she returned a few years ago. She said that she didn’t recognize a single thing.
try Applebee’s then. Maybe more to your liking. Less hype more hip(replacements).
The Hong Kong skyline changes every five years.
Not the biggest Applewood fan – went a few times and I don’t get the hype.

Yes, Pete, the “Corporate World Financial” covers about everything….what do you expect from the IMF?
I think Pete’s going to be taken to Applebee’s tonight. 🙁
Been meaning to try Applewood forever, but it always looks full & I never think on to make a reservation.
I have only given money to street / subway performers on the following occasions:
1. 1994, Parque del Retiro, Madrid. Gave 100 pesetas to a string quartet.
2. Fall 1999, in Boston, a string quartet playing at the entrance to the Boylston subway station. I gave them $5.
3. December 2001, in New York, a lone sax player on a very empty Broad Street in front of the NYSE. I gave him $5.
4. Summer 2003, Battery Park, a lone sax player. I gave him $20.
That’s it. Have never given anyone else money ever.
