  1. they are? oh well. it’s the one with the mallets that i like.

    this city bends over backwards to provide spaces for bike riders, and other low rent sports like tennis and basketball. yet there is not a single public croquet (cricket) space in any of the 5 boroughs!! some of us pay taxes too!

  2. Cafe Kashkar isn’t haute cuisine, and the kitchen has its up and down days (best is when the babushka grandma’s in the kitchen), but I wouldn’t call it a dump!

    I usually order the same things: chuchvara dumpling soup, salad langsam (that’s the tasty cold shredded carrot and glass noodle salad with the vaguely Korean flavor) and the ravioli that’s stuffed with shredded potatoes (can’t remember the name).

    The manty are sometimes good and sometimes not. I usually order them if I’m with someone else who’s never had them before.

    There are supposed to be more Uzbek places in Rego Park, but until Rego Park gets a beach I’m unlikely to go there.
