  1. donatella…I bought a charcoal grill online that has the “chimney” starter built into the base….cool really and it actually works. There’s a pail at the bottom that catches all of the ashes.

  2. “Carpets always matched drapes; which I suspect cannot have been said about you most of your life!!!!”

    Why is this your expectation?

Best not to surprise people a la “The Crying game”

  3. “CGar…we might get a drink Thursday night. get the directions/details from rob”

Thanks, Dave. You guyz have a place picked already? Cool!

*rob*, when you get a chance, will you please email or text me and let me know where you guyz are going out on Thursday. And please send directions — subway/walking only, please, no bus — a link would be appreciated too.

  4. GREAT PICTURE!!!!!! hahahahaha….. Love it. Yeah baby, the tie is what makes the outfit. And the coordinated jacket. I can’t laugh too loud unless I get discovered in my Cher hairdo on steroids from the 70s or my summer Angela Davis exploding afro.

  5. “Doing a charcoal grill is like having 100 tobacco junkies standing under your window.”

Better not come by my house. I barbecue in the backyard often and ALWAYS use charcoal. I like my meat extra smoky!

  6. “I don’t know if any of you remember THAT one, it covered the FDR in water and totally flooded the subways. I never really experienced weather related destruction on that level before. ”

That one was something, Dona. I remember it well. All of Water Street and West Street were under water.

Most of the office buildings around there now have installed watertight doors on the elevators that go to lower levels.
