Thanks, IJ. Is homelessness a big problem in Nicaragua? From my experience (including internet research, lol) family and family relations in developing countries are such that it would be difficult to really be homeless – or, you could always go back to a village or something where you live for free.
The Friday OT when we were all going for 500,000 is already in my memory as one of my favorite days on Brownstoner.

You’re supposed to sit with them and be friendly with them and not make them feel awkward. That night they were very chatty and wanted to joke around with each other and us. The second time it was much more a case of them wanting to be alone with their thoughts. It was brutal cold that night and they acted very tired and just wanted to go to sleep.

Gem – popover cafe is weird. the entire place is decorated with teddy bears. that said, the popovers are kick ass.
