  1. M4l- I started the blog b/c when I got laid off I realized that so many marketing jobs require “Social/Digital marketing media” so I took a class to learn basic HTML building (you know the all the coding behind a website that makes the site appear on the interet) and then took a class in Google Analytics. I then decided because I like food and I like to write why not try a blog so I can really practice both so I had already bought my domain name though godaddy.com and then went on wordpress to create the template for the blog. However I changed some of the template as I know a bit of CSS(HTML build) so I did my own color schemes and dropped in my own photo into the heading etc. – I really suggest if you want to start a blog – go on wordpress.com it’s really user friendly. Setting up a twitter account takes 2 seconds

  2. He lived in Geneva and London previously, works in finance still, married a wealthy woman who owns a penthouse on the UWS. The first time I went to his apartment, he had odds and ends stored in Tiffany boxes sitting on top of the dresser. thrillers are usually pretty escapist and full of sex, money, crime, double-dealing, people constantly running some kind of game.

My novel is set in China, I’ve never been, but my brother was, from whom I got the idea. Tom Clancy said he got all his research about his novels from the library – suprising what you’ll find in those places.

It is extremely hard though, much harder than I thought. But a worthwhile pursuit.

Urban fiction is one of the hottest genres. My customers can’t get enough. One of the primary readers are married, middle-age, middle class African-American women.

and 30 something lower middle class white gay men.

“one of the guys in the class has a very outsize personality, writing a three-part novel about a financier in Geneva and his drug-dealing wife’

Does this person watch a lot of Real Housewives??
More seriously – Would someone have to ever have lived in Geneva, worked in finance or dealt drugs to write these novels??
Don’t know much about the novel writing process.
