That’s part of it. It may also be related to the fact most Jews’ first experiences with alcohol involve drinking Maneschewitz wine at Seders, which is enough to turn anyone off booze.
I’m doing my part to do the drinking on behalf of my entire family, none of who drink except for me.

2. When my brother and I were well beyond drinking age, we’d go out with my father, a teetotaler, and when the waiter would ask our drink orders, my father would interrupt and say, “The boys will have Cokes.”
“The Champions are going on an 8 day cruise to Bahamas and Turks & Caicos.”
You will have to let us know how you enjoy Grand Turk. I was in T&C earlier this month but didn’t make it to that side of the island, but the cruise port there has its own beach, shopping area and attractions:
