I just read Zillow’s monthly email and looked at the list of all properties sold in NYC in the last month – I only paid attention to the Brooklyn ones. Anyway, what got me is that Zillow shows that their estimate of the home’s value was spot on (either exact or within $500) around 70% of the time. The other 30% either had no estimate or the estimate was many times the homes sale price.
Assuming everything is on the up and up – HOW THE HELL CAN THEY GET IT SO RIGHT? Maybe Brownstoner should quote their estimate on hotd and open houses so we can see what happened if they sell.
Obviously this whole bedbug problem was engineered in Ohio and brought to NY via midwestern transplant hipsters who live in Williamsburg.

This is Rob’s big moment w/r/t bedbugs. He’s been on a bedbug rant for years and now finally everyone else is catching on. Let him bask in the glory for a minute.
So there are Eurotrash models in Ohio as well? Since it’s the most infested state and all. I also didn’t know Eurotrash hangs out in Detroit, Chicago and Philly.
Beware the invasion of the anorexic Eastern European models. There are SO many of them, bringing their bedbugs, along with their cigarettes and spike heels, from Dubrovnik.

Immigration should be issued an alert at the airports not to let in anyone named Anya or Svetlana.
We should also issue an alert to the ASPCA. Bedbug sniffing pups are being exploited and abused while being made to inspect and sniff the high-rises, condos, and apartments of NYC. Someone sign a couple of these pest sniffing pooches to a blog.
WHAT THE NOSES KNOWS: a canine tour through the apartments of NY; the good, the bad, and just in poor taste.
Does anyone remember the old days in the OT when there would be more posts about DIBS’ sex life than bedbugs? Not sure if we’ve evolved or devolved.
