I believe chronic fatigue syndrome exists. Unlike ADHD, which just means “watch too much TV and eat too much sugar and parents don’t want to blame themselves syndrome.”
Lesson of the week: When you’re walking the tidal pools at low tide, stay away from the sea gulls.
We’re staying near the beach on the bay side. At low tide the water goes way way out and there are tons of tidal pools. So my 5 year old daughter and I were walking out and trying to catch hermit crabs and stuff. She got about 30 feet away from me. All of a sudden she screams bloody murder and starts running towards me. “A crab bit me a crab bit me!!” Foot is bleeding. Kid is freaking out. I feel awful. She must have stepped on one of the crabs that the gulls hunt at low tide. We were in an area with a lot of gulls walking around in the water hunting. A few minutes after she got bitten we saw one of the gulls get a crab.
I got bitten too as I was running towards her, but it didn’t make my foot bleed.
