Thanks, Biff, it’s a winner alright! From Gourmet Cookbook (the big yellow one), for those of you interested.
I made it in a 12″ ceramic dish, so I had to adjust the ingredients up a bit. Which of course means you have to add WAY more bacon, natcherly. ; )
Only thing is…I made the crust with all butter, rather than my usual 1/2 butter and 1/2 veg. shortening, and it seemed a bit heavy/dense. But it may be that I over-worked the dough a tad, too.
