Since you like Stephen King’s “The Stand†(my favorite of his books, and one of my all-time favorite books), you will love the opening scene to the mini-series, particularly with Blue Oyster Cult’s “Don’t Fear the Reaper†playing in the background. That said, I think my rendition of “Don’t Fear the Reaper” is better, but time will tell whether BOC or I sell more concert tix!
Cobble, I took classes at NYU many years ago. That’s where I learned to swim. And I took a class at a local high shcool last year just to get a refresher. I know how to swim, I just have trouble turning to get air and treading water. I actually know several strokes.

I love the Jackie Robinson Parkway too–my favorite shortcut. I get on at Bushwick Ave. I love taking it to the Trader Joe’s on Metropolitan Ave.–with a parking lot!
