Thanks DCB. Yep, every 5 years. Good news is I lost 5 pounds leading up to the procedure due to the colon cleanse (TMI?). Bad news is I put it all right back on with the first post-procedure meal.
“Who doesn’t like Marlene Dietrich? She is totally off limits for the “GOTD”.”
DCB, Didn’t know what Marlene Biff was talking about. I don’t think of her as a gay icon. Is she???
As for the lawyer, I generally like to give people a second chance; I am anal when it comes to appointments and being places on time, but I know I’ve forgotten appointments (never with a client though, more like bringing the dog to the vet).
If you trust the initial referral and got a good sense of him by phone, give him a second chance. If you had any doubt going in, find someone else.
“Biff, it all sounds pretty bad, but worst in this order: 5) waiting (makes me crazy(ier)); 4) bathroom all night; 3) drinking the liquid; 2) the procedure; and 1) not eating for 2 days (which, God knows, I can afford to do).”
CGar, that’s pretty close to what I would say. But I would put the procedure at the end (no pun intended) as the least negative part of the experience. It was totally painless as I was knocked out and didn’t feel a thing. In fact, I had an excellent, deep 20 minute nap.
speaking of shitty office crap. i hate hate hate when someone doesnt change the water cooler bottle. dainty bitches. i drank warm water from the tap. im NOT changing it.

“That thing they stick up there is about the size of a pencil. Why, I’ve had… never mind”

I don’t get all the fear and whining over a colonoscopy. That thing they stick up there is about the size of a pencil. Why, I’ve had… never mind.
