Yes, I think BH is off the same opinion. It doesn’t sound like a very clear path to achieving certain goals. It sounds like a rather “mushy” process. And it also sounds like it can be misleading in how it’s presented to less technical people who may not be reading the fine print.
“must turn off lighting with occupancy sensors”
I used to “love” that in my old office! I had to wave my arms around like crazy to get it to turn back on while I was in there working quietly! – or get up and walk over and wave my hand in front of it’s little sensor! But I did appreciate that it turned off the lights when I wasn’t in there.
“you have to move smokers 25 feet away from the perimeter of the building”
AAAAH the fU(ng smoking N&(z*s! Yeah like the 3 smokers in the building who skulk outside 3 times a day are going to generate enough smoke to be noticeable in a 1000cfm air intake.
cobble, that’s the problem with LEED. A combination of PC stuff, unproven ideas and self-serving over-bureaucratic requirements (you get a LEED point if you have a LEED-certified professional in charge of your LEED certification…get it?) Like the overuse of other ‘standards’ (Good Housekeeping, etc) it’s become a monster that won’t go away.
It would have been much better to have a direct, simple ‘command and control’ which specified how much erergy you can use per sq ft, for example, or that you must turn off lighting with occupancy sensors, or where you can set the thermostat. You know, really useful stuff.

I like her attitude, legion. I’m sure you agree.
“Lech, is that typical to give that much transition time post announcing resignation?”
No. I gave two months. It was the right thing for everyone involved. Unique situation. Nuff sid.
“I told my wife to stay away from me during the lebron announcement tonight”
Why doesn’t he just say where he’s going to do and end this already? What the hell is he going to do for an hour (to paraphrase Jeff Francoeur)?
ENY,
I checked out that link you posted yesterday
about the Paraguayan Hottie.
Ay dios mio! }:O

“No no no – I was busting your chops for how you like to call other people out when they act like tough guys.”
OH. OK, you’re right.
“hey lechacal,
whatever happened at the old firm?
did you leave yet?”
I’m still there until the end of the month. Wrapping stuff up, getting ready to transition out.
