yeah MM, id much rather buy something new and from a reputable dealer… what about those little electronics shops around chinatown, they always seem to have good deals on stuff, but they sell a lot of fake stuff (like seriously fake ipods and iphones and stuff, tho they dont pretend they are knockoffs, just wondering if their computers might be just as bad..) tho i mean if it worked i wouldnt mind.. the thing is tho i really have to bite the bullet and buy a computer ASAP or it isnt going to happen anytime soon as im delaying an entire month’s worth of student loans and play money to buy one.
and wow @ the scrubs on craigslist asking people for free laptops just because they are broke students :-/

But, AHH is beoch’s sandbox, and it wouldn’t be right for me to crash her party; I don’t think she’d be very happy with me over there, and I wouldn’t do that to her. Rob, either buy one from a reputable retailer here in the city, or go on line and get one from a reputable retailer. Try ebay, which can connect you to all kinds of deals from retailers from whom you can get a warranty, service contract, and guaranteed return, if something goes wrong. You can get a brand new computer that no one has touched or messed with. You should be able to get something like an Acer for around $300. Get someone with a Costco card to take you there. Their prices are reasonable, too.
Rob – what about this guy? He says it’s still covered under a 2 year warranty – can you transfer it?
