It’s plastic. I think that it is the absolute cheapest thing ever made; the one I bought as a replacement looks sturdier than the one in there. I know I can do this. I am sure of it.

donatella, if the arm that holds the bulb is plastic, don’t trya nad bend it..it’ll break…only do it if it’s metal.

Oh, and there’s also a screw adjustment that raises the bulb but if yours is rusted it might be impossible to use that.
