BH would shoot me if I gave him anything plaid or argyle – despite the fact that his aunt gives him Brooks Brothers multi-color striped polo shirts…and he wears those!
cobblehiller, you must know Louie well and for a long time now, both of you being in the area for most, if not all of your lives. Mario was there that day – it wasn’t busy at the time and he came out to say hi. Louie was very cranky at the start – mumbled something about people saying crap on the internet and he doesn’t care and let them say what they want – they can run their businesses however they want to and he’ll do the same, etc. Instead of just ignoring him and being turned off, I played along, got into the spirit of it and he, perhaps sensing I was a good sport, completely turned and became very friendly. Perhaps it’s a kind of test he puts newbies through.
I’m going to admit something. Hubby only wears cotton or cashmere argyle socks and must have about 60 pairs. In my fits, I empty the whole drawer and organize them by color.
our office building has been infested with model wannabes (really good looking tall ones, not the top model variety).. one got off the elevator sobbing, one on the elevator was complaining about not going to paris, the other day one was at the downstairs door and she kept trying to push the door in the wrong way for like 5 minutes, and one was with her agent or somethihng whining the whole time she was tired and does she have to go on another one of these lol
BH and I are going to a movie, and then making lamb chops at home. [Along with assorted other yummy activities!]
The pizza is great when Mario makes it and it’s fresh/hot. The sauce he makes is my absolute favorite. Louie is a character, he’s actually a really sweet guy, but it’s easy to get on his cranky side. And I guess some don’t have the patience to give him his due, they want their “booty kissed” for deigning to be present in his restaurant!

I LOVE argyle socks. I also have a wool argyle sleevless sweater that my mother made for my father in the 50s.
