You are right, Benson, Blanche Lincoln has a retro look and she is pretty. She also looks like she doesn’t care much for getting dolled up, but that is part of her appeal.
She radiates a kind of intelligence.
I have to admit to another subway game. I would rate people on a scale of 1 – 10 looks wise. I never saw anyone out of the range of 3 and 7. (The outliers don’t take the subway). I started trying to discount for age etc. and then I realized something very strange. My rating system seemed to make no sense. Sometimes I would see someone who was ugly but adorable and see somebody who was conventionally good looking but they seemed cold or without style or humor. I really think that personality, character and style (intelligence and humor) or lack of, transform looks to good looking or ugly. That and health, because most of the world is in that bell curve.
