DIBS says, Yes, Noki, go ahead, tax EVERYTHING. That’s been a proven economic scenario to ridding the world of problems.
After spending millions on education campaigns (and billions on health services), you know what stopped people from smoking in NY? A super high and sudden tax. Hey, it worked for me too. The guy said $7 and it seemed so insane that I had to raise my hands and say, I’m out. Also regulations about where you can smoke.
I can go either way on taxes. Either tax things to influence behavior and give tax breaks to do the same, or get rid of taxes and tax breaks and bring on the flat tax. But you can’t be for tax breaks and balk at taxes.
I fully agree. The latest reports indicate that we have enough natural gas reserves to fill the US’s total energy needs for the next 100 years. It’s inevitable that we will move towards an economy that is based on natural gas. Japan already has cars that run on natural gas.
I would also recommend shorting any companies involved in solar or wind power. Not going to happen in the near term.
If corn oil comes from corn, what does baby oil come from?
I think what they’re doing with corn these days is EAR-responsible.
“Biff, your corn jokes are gonna get creamed.”
Yes, but there’s always a kernel of truth in them. I imagine we’ll fritter away a lot of time on these corn puns now.
I prefer corn pones to corn puns.
Biff, your corn jokes are gonna get creamed.

“plenty of CORN when Biff is around.”
You don’t think my “ears” can hear you?
I’m “stalking” you.
