  1. I suspect he aspires to that old highbrow Victorian belief, still pursued by the likes of the Queen of England, that “touching” money is actually beneath him.

Hence, he has no idea about the merits of clicks and views.

  2. “Senator, I served with Jack Kennedy, I knew Jack Kennedy, Jack Kennedy was a friend of mine. Senator, you’re no Jack Kennedy.”

Mr. Fink, I’ve blogged with Jonathan Butler, I drank with Jonathan Butler, Jonathan Butler was a blogmaster of mine. Mr. Fink, you’re no Jonathan Butler!

  3. Arkady, I, I mean my friend, of course, did that yesterday, too, but was still banned by this morning. I’ll be non-PBR curious to see if your access lasts.

Dave, I agree with you, but it seems that Homer Fink isn’t interested in running a successful blog — his OTW had, at most, 30 posts yesterday, about 10 of which were posted by Brownstoner alter egos (I’m referring to non-deleted posts). And so much for his BS tagline welcoming comments!

  4. BHB gives new meaning to the words “pathetic losers”. Everyone I’ve sent links to about ‘Stoner thinks it’s terrif (out of towners) & NYers are equally positive even w/ the snark factor taken into account.
BHB takes “community” out of the term “neighborhood.”

  5. Yes, Kens, Mr. B. has a very openminded and tolerant approach to it all. I’ve womndered sometimes why i haven’t been asked to tone it down at times.

I guess this is the right formula for success with ablog as the numbers show.

I equate it to how I see different people raise their kids. The overly protective parents that keep the kids on a very short leash are likely to be less successful with their children than what i saw at a mexican bautismo where the kids were allowed to run around chasing each other untill they all fell asleep out of exhaustion. Those kids were allowed to enjoy life and were happier because of it, despite falling and crying a few times. One or two parents kept their kids from participating and those kids were unhappy, bored and resentful.

  6. Totally agree, Kens. He also has wayyyy too much time on his hands.

Pete, my snarky comments on the Smith Street thread were, of course, directed at you, but people took me seriously!

    *BHB IS DEAD TO ME*

  7. So I can still read the BHB but could never comment. Makes me appreciate Bstoner even more. Mr. B would never answer email or facebook or whatever with that kind of a remark. This dude is obviously constipated 24/7.
