dona-TELLA! He was a great sport about it, I agree. I felt really bad that his perfect game was blown. I felt bad for the ump who made that STUPID call, too — he was crying he was so upset with himself.
I was surprised to find out there there have only been 20 perfect games in baseball history. That ump knew that and was completely distraught. But that’s baseball. You make a call and it stands.
But what a beautiful display of humanity and sportsmanship!
