  1. Oh. my. god. don’t you guys have anything better to do than conspire about the f-king Brooklyn Heights Blog??? I tried to read my way down but then realized that I have a few other things to accomplish today!

    Definitely looking forward to the Clambake!

  2. Legion;

    I have not read “Underworld” by Delillo, but I have read “White Heat”. I have also read “The Corrections” by his disciple, Jonathan Franzen. As far as I’m concerned, their writing is gibberish.

    What’s up asshats! So last night Mrs Jackal was watching some 2 hour long TV show finale for some show I can’t stand, so I snuck off to the other room and did this:

    VERY FUNNY, Lechecal… (you are really getting good at this!) I am glad to see you have untied yourself from the mast – if we didn’t hear from you, there was a group gathering to find you.

  4. slight correction

    Delillo’s book opening is the “shot heard around the world”
    1951(Dodgers vs. Giants), not Don Larson’s perfect game.
    but still the same era and same folklore status.

  5. Legion, I heard about that. Definitely have to check it out! That’s when I first started loving the Flyers (Broad Street Bully era). Had Bobby Clarke and Bill Barber jerseys (to complement my Mike Palmateer and Darryl Sittler Leaf jerseys).
