cobble, i wasnt gonna mention it, but since you asked… on memorial day i was outside my building spraypainting some carved wooden branches, i got a little bit on the ground like an idiot i thought it would be easily removed by just rubbing it out with the bottom of my shoe.. no go. anyway yesterday when i got home i noticed someone tagged the front of my building! in the same color paint (obviously the same paint) that i was outside all day using (with multiple tenants going in and out of the building seeing me with the paint. i literally freaked out because i would seem like the obvious perp! but i did not do that, why would I?! but people in the building dont know that i wouldnt. it doesnt help im the most ghetto person who lives in the building to begin with!!
what must have happened was some punk must have walked by, saw the spray paint on the ground and tagged the wall. i was in an out of my apartment taking AC breaks cuz it was so hot out and i left the branch outside to dry for a while, maybe a good hour or so, of course i stupidly also left my spray paint and cherry bag outside.
i freaked and wrote a note to the super owning up to getting paint on the ground and that i’ll clean it up and i explained in the note what i just said above, hoping he believes me and doesnt call management on me or anything. i called cgar last night because i got scared the popo would come knocking on my door or something. i also put a note in the hallway explaining to my neighbors what happened and if anyone has any paint remover… but my roommate thought it best to take the hallway note down as to not draw attention to it.
snappy send me an email this morning saying she and arkady are headed over to my building to get rid of the graffiti and the paint on the ground, they are so kind as to do that for me as i’d be worrying all day about it. cgar calmed me down on the phone last night.
it’s funny how someone can be pro graffiti until it’s on their own building :-/
