  1. For several months when I was 14 I refused to get in any vehicle with an internal combustion engine. I walked or biked everywhere. If getting somewhere required something more, I concluded I didn’t need to be wherever that was (grandparents were unhappy with me on holidays, among other conflicts cause by this policy).

Then suddenly I realized how utterly pointless that was. The next day I got my long, unkempt hair cut and started wearing oxford shirts and expressing an appreciation for President Bush’s oil policies.

  2. denton,

lol, yeah, I really hate it when they build fake islands to store explosive gas, it ruins a perfectly good day at the beach!

    dibs,
these days, you can get quite a few rebates and tax write offs for a solar system.
total cost comes out to about 10k- 20k,
pays for itself in about 10years, so after
that you don’t have to pay Con Ed anymore.

at least that’s what they told me.

  3. “Between the US and canada, we have more natural gas reserves thhan the entire rest of the world.”

Between Us and the BHB, we have more natural gas than a lot of other blogs.
