  1. I’m wearing my orange t-shirt with the “Tang” brand on it. My ex Chinese bf was named Tang.

m4l…his grandfather was a famous general from China and we have a lot of coins with his pic on them. I have the silver ones but his family has a lot of the gold ones. I’ll have to ask his name again.
Very interesting story….the family all left China and were living in Hong Kong before the war. When the Japanese invaded, they saw this life size photo of the general in the house and they spared the family because the general was wearing some medal that he got from the Emperor of Japan for helping with troop training in the 1920s!!! They still have the life size photo of the general.

  2. Morning Losers! I’ve been un-banned from BHB and saw this posted…Cargar, take note:

Last night for dinner I went to Pete’s Waterfront Alehouse and encountered a waiter so rude I thought it was another channel 7 setup. There were three of us and the bill came to $90. We left $107- an almost 19% tip. As we were leaving, we were approached by the waiter who asked, “did I do something to piss you off? You only left an 8% tip.” I don’t know if his math was off, if he was trying to shake us down for more money, or what. No one knew what to say to him because we had left a generous tip (despite his slow service) and we could not believe that someone in the “service” industry had the guts to be so rude to a customer. Even if we had left him 8%, he should have been gracious and thankful we left him anything! It’s a tip for good service, not an entitlement. Anyway, are there any other places around with good chili? I’m not going back there anymore.

  3. I only like eating crab if someone else did the hard work of getting the meat out from the shell. if I got to do the work, king crab legs, stone crab claws and give me the freaking good crackers (vs those flimsy bs ones)

  4. “Cobble, Madison st (btwn Catherine & Market st) is where the good lobster wholesalers are. tell BH to get 2 to 3 of them – so you have some left over for tomorrow to make lobster rolls”

Brilliant! Thanks, M4L! (Yes, yes, the brownies are forthcoming! ; ) )
