benson–again, apologies if I misrepresented your position here. I was under the impression that yesterday (or whenever the hell we were arguing about this) you were questioning the right that the mosque had to exist there. If you are in agreement with me that, despite the bad taste it leaves in our mouths, the mosque has as much right to occupy that space as any other religious or non religious building, then I am very sorry to have misrepresented you.
The downside in the capital markets annihilates the short term upside. Are a few small, taxed gains really an incentive to risk huge losses? The 90% of participants (outsiders) that always lose think so.
yeah, jester. that sucked. You are choosing to define what side of issue you want to apply to ‘liberal’. Valid to point out someone’s economic interest – and how would affect how they view a particular issue. But the generalization is not valid.
Plenty of self-proclaimed conservatives have economic interests in loose immigration policies and aren’t too happy about it either. Also – a lot of police in Arizona aren’t so happy with the law.
But this ‘limo liberalism’ – bankruptcy doesn’t work.

I, on the other hand, believe in basically nothing at all but still manage to resort to calling people idiots all the time.”
Are you John McCain?
I didn’t write that folks! Just trying to show everyone how groan-inducing politics on the OT can be.
” I wonder what the odds are that everyone in Germany will suddenly stop making phone calls?”
What are the odds they will stop paying their bills in Euros?

…gotta go,
but I’ll be back.
Sometimes it helps discussion to have polemical posters.
Better if posts are short, though (know I fail on that one sometimes)
