Biff–wouldn’t say enemies for me and What just a bit tired of the whole schtick. Wish he had some new material that was more amusing. There was a time right around the advent of AHH that he actually was funny and added something. We actually have quite a bit to talk about in re our neighborhood What and I.
The What — YOU ARE A FUCKING IDIOT. You have no reading comprehension and you’re an idiot. Did I say that already?
“Yanking 20% out of the “salaries” of data entry clerks working for the State is literally going to take food out of the mouths of children.”
Dylanfan was talking about the REDUCTION IN WAGES. Not friggin’ food stamps, you douche. A data entry clerk making, say, $35,000 a year has a take-home pay of around $450 a week. This is being reduced to $360. That is how children will have food taken out of their mouths.
Jaysus. Try reading and thinking. THEN post you ideas.

This time the What is way off. Yanking 20% out of the “salaries” of data entry clerks working for the State is literally going to take food out of the mouths of children. Lots of children with single mothers just getting by as it is now.
well to be fair, most single working mothers in that sector will qualify for food stamps, as well as public housing… if they are making close to 60K a year. granted most sane individuals wouldnt want to live in the projects, but they really arent giving out section 8 vouchers anymore unless it’s an emergency case (like youre a battered woman or youre homeless). however in nyc it’s very very very very easy to “go shelter” and get your section 8 voucher if you intend to move out of state. claiming domestic abuse is a bit harder, but still do-able, tho i dont think any sane person would want to do that.
the thing is that in nyc it’s very very very expensive to raise kids if you are NOT poor, but if youre poor, having kids is a financial safety net, and you will be better off if you have them.
it’s such a weird backwards system, but i guess in the end they are just trying to keep children from extreme poverty, which is a very noble (tho naive) thing to do. i mean no one really wants to see children starve, but unfortunately in this country children are exploited by their parents for financial (minimal obviously) gains.
“As per The What – Please add “Jackasses” as a category! Thank you!”
Wait, then I would be under two categories at the same time!!
🙂
Biffy, if “Other” is spelled out in glitter letters, you’ve got a deal!
Snappy, how about the “Other” category, to increase the administrative efficiency?
