ALBANY – Legislators on Monday night reluctantly approved furloughing 100,000 state workers for the first time in New York history.

The unprecedented move forcing employees to take one unpaid day off per week came after Gov. Paterson threatened to shut down state government.

The state Senate approved the furloughs in a party-line 32-to-29 vote, with GOPers opposing. It passed the Assembly, 82 to 56.

The furloughs are slated to start Monday, and will likely mean more hassles for consumers, such as longer lines at the Department of Motor Vehicles or a dropoff in services.

The same thing will happen in New York City! No Station Agents, Less Cops and services! Yeah just like old times…

    The What (Mmmmmmmmmuuuuuuhhhhhhhaaaaaa)

Someday this war is gonna end..

  2. Can you PLEASE make the secretaries in my office STOP talking about how many “points” their food is worth? Do they mean dry or after I cook it? I don’t understand grams. If there’s no fat, do I have to count that many points? BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH !!!

Being this obsessive about how many “points” food is worth can’t be healthier than just being fat… jaysus.

  3. oh yeah – Cobblesnaps – there’s a bar near me that does a bangin Tuesday night karaoke. Lots of participants. Also lots of cheap canned beer and shot deals. Could be a suitable venue at some point.
