  1. i liked the bumper cars at coney island. the rides are kinda expensive tho. the one thing that always annoyed me about coney island was that some people would be allowed on the rides for FREE and didnt have to give tickets, and it’s always so blatantly obvious but no one does anything about it!! GRRRR

  2. tybur, if you’d rather dip your toe in the water at a smaller outing, we’ll do another Sycamore gathering, especially now that the garden should be open. You, too, just have to remember to check the email account you gave me, please!!

  3. Thanks to the outage, I’ve now completed my work for the rest of the day and next week.

And when I imagined we would see outage today, I expected it to be at The Duplex, not on this blog.

  4. Oooh. The Mermaid Parade! I have to remember to go again this year. The last time I went (2 yrs ago) it included a really skanky woman… porn star type with enormous fake boobies (and was actually a little filthy, literally dirty)… riding on the top of an old delivery van flashing her whooo haaa.

Will that sort of stuff still happen after they build a luxury hotel complex? I sure hope so. I don’t have enough money for the video booths where Rob works as the mop boy. And they don’t have 32 oz beers in styrofoam Nathan’s cups.

  5. ENY, in light of your cruel joke, kindly email me at carrollgardened AT gmail DOT com, preferably from an email account that you can remember and that you check! Despite what people here will tell you, you can trust me; after all, I’ve known your “Clark Kent” identity for months, and I haven’t given you up yet!!

  6. am i the only one who finds the cyclone more of a kiddy ride than a real roller coaster!?? i mean i DO love it, and the psychological scariness is there, but not the physical scariness.
